Request for Education aid | Medical aid

Disha has devised the following steps to verify appeals for monetary assistance:

Educational Requests

We have an application form to be filled up by you (stating your relationship to the student) You may also apply online by giving some details in Minnal > here

• One of DISHAs members meets the student directly in his house and interacts with the student and his/her parents
• during the discussion we:
  1. check the attitude of the student as how much he is interested in his education
  2. check the financial situation of his/her family
  3. ask for income certificates of his/her parents
  4. verify the old marks secured by the student
  5. collect details like how much fee is required and how much have already been collected
  6. If the student is in college, we also enquire them whether they have taken any educational loan
  7. If not, we would enquire why they can't take an educational loan (there are many practical difficulties in getting an educational loan, so in those cases, we take up the case)

• We monitor the exams of the students and motivate them and give the proper guidance

We also insist the student to do more to the society once he comes out of school/college and keep guiding them

Medical aid

Here is our procedure for providing medical aid:

• One of the DISHA member meets the patient's relative and validates the case
• We refer some big well known trusts (which are especially for medical aids) and ask the patient's relative to apply to those trusts with proper proofs like income certificate, medical report of the patient
• Depending on the seriousness of the case and the amount of money required, we take the responsibility of the case and raise funds for the rest of the amount needed

We will be able to provide funds for medical appeals only in locations nearby our volunteers.
